Dynamics of Consciousness

Recognize the Dynamics of Divine Consciousness within you

A half-day retreat with Bill Mahony PhD & Sarah Fischer ERYT 500

From the perspective of Advaita (Nondual) Tantra, the movements and capabilities of our particular minds and bodies express various dynamics of a boundless universal Consciousness that ultimately is not separate from our own awareness of ourselves.

In this half-day retreat together, we will explore and apply this philosophy through contemplative study and physical yoga practices

To do this, Bill will share, explain, and guide us through selections in translation from a remarkably succinct and subtle yogic text in Advaita Tantra composed in India in the 10th-11 centuries known as “The Heart of Recognition” (Pratyabhijñā Hṛdaya). We will also take some time to look together at a version of the well-known sculpted visual image from India known popularly as the “Lord of the Dance” (Natarāja).  After a short break, Sarah will integrate and apply the philosophy in a mixed-level āsana practice. We finish with discussion and śavāsana.
