“I don’t wanna be on automatic with you because I love you” - Helen Palmer
Self-observation is the starting point for being present (not on automatic) with ourselves and each other. But with all of the distraction of modern life, most of us don’t slow down enough to notice what we’re doing or how we’re being.
We end up on autopilot in our lives and relationships.
One way to build presence is to practice self-observation. That means growing the inner witness that watches as you move through the world. Your inner witness notices your mental habits as they arise. Seeing your inner experience gives you the chance to choose how you respond to life.
This 4-week meditation group is designed to help you learn to observe yourself using meditation and reflection. First, we meditate for 20-30 minutes with my guidance. Then, we practice sharing experiences and witnessing others in a focused group reflection.
Meditation group will help you:
Anchor your meditation practice
Learn and practice self-observation
Practice sharing in a mindful group
Grow your ability to be present with yourself and others
Self Observation reveals who you really are on the inside. It paves the way for deeper inner work to take root. Knowing yourself this deeply is the foundation for embodying authenticity, confidence, and peace.
